ROCtheDAY Raises $26,000 for St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who made an online donation on December 8th, or placed cash in our lobby collection box, or mailed in a check in honor of the Center's 18th anniversary. Your gifts totaled $13,000 and were evenly matched by our anonymous matching gift donor for a total gift of $26,000!

"This generous gift is a wonderful anniversary present from the Rochester community," said Christine Wagner, SSJ, Executive Director of St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center. The Center opened doors for business on December 8th, 1993. "We have tripled in size since opening our first building and today provide medical, dental and mental health services to more than 2400 people each year, who are uninsured or underinsured, from Rochester and eight surrounding counties. Since we are funded completely by donations, these gifts will be a great help to us as we continue to provide services."

ROCtheDAY was an unprecedented one day online-giving day in Rochester, sponsored by the United Way. For more information, call (585) 325-5260.
