The Neighborhood Center has been nominated for the Bank of America Impact Award. This award recognizes and honors non-profit staff, volunteers and programs that make our community a better place to live. There are five agencies that are finalists; the winning agency will receive a gift of $10,000.
The Rochester Business Journal and the United Way are hosting an event on October 28th in which the winner will be announced. Other finalists include: Boys and Girls Club Accelerated Reading Program, Mary Cariola Center, Safe Harbors of the Finger Lakes and Veteran’s Outreach Center.
“We are honored to be a finalist for this award,” said Christine Wagner, SSJ, Executive Director and co-founder of St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center. “Since opening in 1993, the Center has vastly grown in size as well as quantity of services, to accommodate the increasing needs of people in our community. It is wonderful to be recognized, along with these fellow nominees, for all our collective service to Monroe and surrounding counties.”
