The National Association of Social Workers, Genesee Valley Division, presented annual awards on March 11th in Pittsford. St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center was recognized as Agency of the Year.
Sr. Christine Wagner, Executive Director, received the award from Carol Inzinga, Director of NASWâ€™s local division. “Congratulations to all honorees,” said Carol. “You do amazing, wonderful work!”
The organization also recognized three local individuals and six students who will soon receive their Bachelorâ€™s or Masterâ€™s degrees in Social Work. Adrienne Daniels, LMSW, Manager of Bereavement Services at Lifetime Care, was Keynote Speaker.
The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with 132,000 members. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.
