Breakfast for 250? No problem, thanks to volunteers from the Womens Club of Pittsford and Zonta International, who rose at the crack of dawn on Saturday, October 29th, to set tables and serve breakfast to guests on behalf of the Neighborhood Center. The 20th annual Fall Breakfast raised a net profit of $2100 for the health care programs of St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center, Inc. The event was held at the Baptist Temple on Clover Street. Sponsors included Creative Caterers, Genesee Cooperative Federal Credit Union, and Lux Lounge. Board and staff members of the Neighborhood Center also volunteered. In addition, a large baked goods sale contributed to the net profit.
“I had a wonderful time,” said breakfast guest Mary Palmer. “This is such a nice way to start the day and help out the Neighborhood Center.” Guest Jackie Somerville was the winner of the door prize, a Fall-themed gift basket.
The Center provides primary health care, dental care and mental health counseling to more than 1500 people each year, who are uninsured or under-insured. For more information, call 585-325-5260.
